CUSTOMER RIGHTS

Cancellation and refunds.

Rules for ordering on this website and information for possible subsequent hiring.

1. Orders on this website

The website does not accept payments or confirm purchases or reservations. A request for information does not require a deposit or payment and can be withdrawn by contacting geral@aprimport.com. There is no amount charged by the website to be refunded.

2. Before paying or booking

Request in writing the identification of the contracting entity, the role of APR, the object of the contract, the total price, services, deadlines, cancellation conditions and the processing of deposits or advances. This page does not set a commission, penalty or commercial rule for retaining values: these actual conditions must still be confirmed by APR and communicated before contracting, respecting the law.

3. Right of withdrawal from distance contracts

Where Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014 applies to a distance contract concluded by a consumer, there is generally a 14-day withdrawal period without having to give a reason. For goods, this normally runs from taking physical possession; for services, from the conclusion of the contract. Certain off-premises contracts have a 30-day withdrawal period, and statutory exceptions apply.

An in-person purchase does not automatically carry the same right to withdraw because of a change of mind. An imported vehicle or one sourced to order is not automatically a personalised item excluded from the right of withdrawal.

4. Exceptions and services already started

Car hire for a specific date or period may fall within the statutory exception to the right of withdrawal. In that case, the commercial cancellation conditions must be provided before booking. A deposit must not be assumed to be automatically non-refundable.

Where a service begins during the withdrawal period, the rules on an express request, prior information and any legally due proportionate payment apply. Loss of the right after full performance requires the statutory conditions to be met; merely sending an enquiry through the website does not cause that loss.

5. Legally owed refunds

Following a valid withdrawal, the trader must generally refund the payments received within 14 days of being notified, including standard delivery costs and using the same payment method, unless a legally permissible alternative has been agreed. For sales of goods, the trader may withhold the refund until the goods or proof of their dispatch have been received, unless the trader has offered to collect them.

Return costs, any loss in value and exceptions are governed by the law and the applicable pre-contractual information. Rights concerning lack of conformity, non-performance or cancellation by the supplier are separate from the right of withdrawal and are not limited by this policy.

6. How to submit an application

Contact geral@aprimport.com with your request and, where available, the contract reference and date. You may exercise the right of withdrawal by making an unequivocal statement of your decision; you do not have to use a specific form. Do not send bank details or identity documents in your first contact; the team should provide a suitable channel when these are needed. The forms and communication methods required by law must be supplied during the applicable contracting process.

Consult the terms and conditions for contacts and complaints information. For existing contracts, the analysis depends on the contract and mandatory legislation; this page does not change them retroactively.
